how we handle your stuff
Rollcut is an invite-only beta. Here's what happens to the photos, clips and words you give us, in plain language.
What you give us
- The photos and clips you choose to upload.
- The couple of sentences you write about the edit, and the vibe and length you pick.
- Your answers to the permission questions (that you're allowed to use the photos and clips, that the people in them are OK with it, and whether anyone under 18 appears).
- Your invite. We don't ask for your name, email or a password to make an edit.
How it's used
Only to make your edit. Each edit is made on its own private, isolated computer that's created for your edit and deleted afterwards. That computer has no general internet access.
To understand your photos and clips and plan the edit, the AI editor sends your written brief and some images and video frames to our AI model providers (Anthropic and Baseten). Your files are stored on Amazon Web Services.
No person reviews your photos, clips or edit. Edits aren't public: only someone signed in with your invite can see them here.
How long we keep it
- Photos and clips: deleted 30 days after upload.
- The finished edit: deleted 60 days after it's made. Save it to keep it.
Your choices
Only upload photos and clips you're allowed to use, and make sure the people in them are OK with being in an edit. If anyone under 18 appears, a parent or guardian needs to agree. If you want something deleted sooner, or you have a question, ask whoever invited you.
